about
Tim Sommers was born and raised in Idaho. With his love for the outdoors he started taking photographs in high school. He has been published in several magazines, calendars and on billboards. Tim has also been president of the Eastern Idaho Photographic Society.
Tim designed a Rail (lens stabilizer) when he got his Sigma 300 to 800 lens. This lens stabilizer helps lessen movements when taking pictures. After all his friends wanted one he redesigned it to fit most lenses. He has sold the Rail to professional photographers around the world that shoot Nikon, Cannon, Olympus and many others.
Tim and his wife Laura now travel around the country taking beautiful photographs and giving photo classes and workshops.
Tim really loves giving photo classes and workshops where he can share his knowledge of photography and wildlife. Some of his workshops are done for donations to open spaces, wildlife refuges and sanctuaries. These services help protect the wildlife so everyone can enjoy the beauty.
Whether you are a beginner at photography or a professional, Tim’s photo classes hold something for everyone.
It’s not the photo you take it’s the enjoyment and satisfaction you get with every snap of the shutter!
